Focus on: long gloves

Timelessly elegant, the long gloves are one of the most beautiful accessories for Fall/Winter 2009/10. The multitude of colours, from classic black and tan to autumn tones of olive green and ruby and a choice of soft leather, suede, cashmere or fabric allow you to find something very special. Personally, I'd love to get the black pair in a buttery soft leather with silk lining because it would look good now and 10 years later and yes, with the right care it will last, too. Tan is also a wonderful choice, especially, if it goes well with clothes and accessories in your autumn/winter wardrobe. Suede is stunning, but can be high maintenance. As for cashmere... I would be very tempted... because it's like giving yourself a big soft warm hug whenever you feel like it. However, cashmere does require a lot of TLC, so be prepared to look after your treasure.

5 guilty pleasures and awards

I think, Anya decided to spoil me completely as she's just given me a beautiful "Divine Award" - thank you for thinking of me, solnishko! It's such an honor and I feel truly privileged.

She also asked to write about 5 guilty pleasures that make my life exciting and interesting.

1. Paris is my guilty pleasure No. 1. I am addicted to it, I love it, I cannot imagine my life without it. I look forward to the time when I can go back to Paris, have long dreamy walks, drink coffee with a freshly baked croissant, go to museums, inhale the air that also smells of coffee, croissants, perfume and big city, visit a few shops and give it a big hug while looking at this magical place from the steps of Sacré-Coeur.

I took this photo during our last trip

2. Perfumes. I am addicted to Serge Lutens perfumes. They are unique, chic and unexpected. I also love the bottles for their simple and classic design. I am addicted and so far have been faithful to Douce Amere, but starting to feel that I am falling in love with Feminite du Bois for its timeless fragrance that reminds me of, well, Paris for some reason.

3. Beautiful tableware. I love fine china tea sets and honestly think that tea always taste better if you make it in a china teapot. There is also something very English about having tea from a gorgeous china cup.
Villeroy & Boch Flow Range

4. Cashmere sweaters. What can be better than wearing a soft cashmere sweater when it's cold and, as it often happens in England, miserable outside? It creates a warm cloud, comforts your soul and caresses the skin. And it's timeless if you take care of your garment and choose classic colours and shapes.

5. Beautiful desserts. These are little objects of culinary art to me, and it's always a shame to eat them, but at the same time, beautiful desserts are truly irresistible and make you appreciate one's talent for combining delicious flavours in a gorgeous little creation. They also make me feel spoilt...

Fashion Titbits also received this gorgeous girly award from sweet Catanya (Catanya's Things). Thank you, honey! It's absolutely adorable.

And I was really happy to receive this cute award from Sofie who I adore for being so sweet, charming, witty and intelligent.
In my turn, I would like to give this award created by me some time ago to my newly discovered treasures:

Make a statement

Lets take a quick break from an overwhelming emotional gorgeousness of Haute Couture and talk about summer accessories before the season is over. "Sunglasses are one of the key pieces for spring/summer 2009 and if you want to make the best choice, then chunky large frames should be on top of your list.", I mumbled to myself while browsing the web and looking for something interesting and different...

...like these stylish treasures created by an Athens-born Brit designer Romina Karamanea as a part of her ready-to-wear spring-summer '09 collection. So beautiful... The handmade pieces finished with an iceberg pin detail come in classic muted colours including sand, flesh and black and certainly have a unique architectural vibe. You don't wear them to hide behind tinted lenses or to join a crowd of fashion victims - you choose these sensually curved shades to make a statement, stand out, express your emotions and show the entire world how stylishly unique you are. And yes, of course, protect your eyes from harmful UV A's and B's.

Available for £195.00

Summer accessories: bracelets

Here are my favourite picks from style.com. Four different styles for every taste and occasion. Marni bracelet, with flowers and leather straps is by far my favourite one. It's probably one of the dream items I'd love to own. Shame it costs a little fortune. I also really like some high-street alternatives, particularly, the flower bracelet from Urban Outfitters, gold baubles from French connection and several bracelets from promod (great for jewellery, by the way).

Spring temptations

And here I am again. With a cup of mint tea and a new copy of Red Direct catalogue I've got in the post yesterday. I must admit, I am not the first one if a cue when it comes to wearing bijoux-type accessories, but sometimes things look so beautiful I can be tempted. Just like this time. A few pieces really caught my attention and I feel that I keep thinking about them, which is not a good sign as it usually means that sooner or later one of those cuties will be mine.
